Beard Quiz: Did Your Beard Increased Your Confidence?

Can beards really make you feel (and look) a lot more confident?

Believe it or not, there’s quite a bit of evidence to support the idea that beards significantly increase your confidence – just another reason why you’ll want to consider growing out your stubble and wearing a well-trained, well-maintained, and well-kept beard.

Below we dig a little deeper into how beards help you increase your confidence, including a couple of tips and tricks for beard grooming and growing different beard types to fit your facial hair and help you really cement the kind of confidence facial hair imparts into your day to day life.

Let’s dive right in!

Beards are universally seen as a sign of masculinity

There can be no mistaking the fact that beards are seen as a huge sign of masculinity, and there are plenty of men walking around with “baby faces” hidden behind big, bushy beards that would look more than a little bit silly – and years younger – if they weren’t so woolly.

You’ll inevitably feel what a bit more confident (and a lot more manly) when you have a little fuzz on your cheeks. It’s pretty obvious to see the difference in confidence levels between beard or no beard men when they interact, too.

Beards add to your sex appeal

An almost overwhelming amount of studies out there show that women prefer beard men, and not only that but they also prefer pretty much any beard types over no facial hair whatsoever!

If you’re looking for a way to increase your attractiveness, looking for a way to immediately appeal to the opposite sex without having to spend hours in the gym (or hours on the treadmill), growing a beard – and taking care of it, obviously – can work wonders.

Beards compel you to feel more mature

Scientists and researchers have been looking into why young men feel so disconnected from the world around them these days, and a lot of early indications point to the fact that there are so few obvious “transition signals” between childhood and adulthood like there were in the past.

Well, you aren’t going to find too terribly many 11-year-olds walking around with a full on Grizzly Adams kind of beard now are you?

You don’t necessarily have to grow the bushy us beard for men you’ve ever seen to feel more adult but it’s impossible to argue with the idea that the process of growing a beard, beard growing, and then maintaining that beard certainly adds a bit of an adult look and an adult feel to your lifestyle.

This isn’t to suggest that you grow a beard and immediately start thinking about property taxes or get ready for retirement, but you are certainly going to feel a lot more adult – and the world around you is going to treat you like an adult, too.

At the end of the day, there’s a lot to love about beards and facial hair. But the way that they add to your overall confidence level (without having to put in a lot of extra effort, to be honest) can be a real game changer.
